About Indiclub
Indiclub is a men's clothing brand built around one simple idea i.e., great style should not cost a fortune. Selling across India, they carry a focused catalogue of t-shirts, polo tees, trousers, track pants, shorts, and combo packs, all sitting in the Rs. 299 to Rs. 1,399 range.

Their buyers are value-conscious but not low-intent. They know what they want, they buy fast when they see it, and they come back if you make it easy. That last part is where things got complicated.
When Indiclub Found the Right Fit
The team was not looking for a mobile app because someone told them to. Their own data pushed them there:
-
Over 70% of traffic was already coming from mobile browsers
-
Browsing was active, but a large chunk of visitors were not completing purchases
-
The website worked fine on desktop, but on mobile, it was a different story
They looked at a few app builders on the Shopify App Store. What made Vegacart stand out was not the feature list. It was the free setup promise, live in 24 hours, no coding, and real-time Shopify sync.
For a lean team, that matters. They booked a demo, saw it in action, and moved forward within a week.
The Problem
Mobile traffic was climbing but conversions were not.
On paper, Indiclub was doing well. Strong products, solid reviews, repeat buyers coming back through Instagram and WhatsApp. But revenue growth felt harder than it should be given the traffic numbers.
The real issue was the gap between browsing and buying. Most of their customers were younger men shopping on Android phones during commutes and evenings. That audience has zero patience for friction:
-
Product pages loading slowly meant people left before they even saw the item
-
Finding the right size took too many steps, leading to mid-checkout drop-offs
-
Combo deals were buried and hard to find, so they rarely got discovered organically
-
Once someone left without buying, there was no way to bring them back since they had no push, no saved cart, and every session started cold
Nobody on the team had the bandwidth to build a native app from scratch. It would have taken months and cost far more than the business could justify at that stage.
The Solution
A native App built around how their customers actually shop
Vegacart set up Indiclub's mobile app directly from their existing Shopify store. Products, inventory, prices, and collections all synced automatically with no duplicate work, and no risk of showing out-of-stock items. The full catalogue was live in the app from day one.
Category-First Navigation
Indiclub's range is their strength. On mobile, browsing across t-shirts, trousers, track pants, and shorts was scattered. The app fixed that with:
-
Clear, tap-friendly category sections with nested filters
-
Sleeve type and fit options accessible in two taps
-
Cleaner product pages with size charts visible without extra scrolling
Combo Deals Front and Centre
Combos are one of Indiclub's best performers i.e., pick any 3 trousers, pick any 5 dri-fit tees. On the website, these were hard to find unless you already knew where to look. In the app:
- Vegacart's home screen widgets pinned the combo section at the top
- Countdown timers ran during sale windows to create urgency
- Combo discovery went from accidental to intentional
Push Notifications That Brought People Back
Before the app, a buyer who left without purchasing was gone. Running Instagram ads to win them back costs money every single time. With Vegacart's AI-powered push notifications, Indiclub could now send:
- Back-in-stock alerts the moment a popular style was restocked
- Abandoned cart nudges for buyers who dropped off at checkout
-
Weekend sale announcements to their full app user base
These hit the lock screen directly, not a crowded email inbox.
Faster Checkout, Fewer Drop-offs
Vegacart uses Shopify's native checkout, so Shop Pay, UPI, and COD all worked out of the box. Beyond payment options, the checkout experience itself improved:
- Address autofill for returning buyers
- Saved payment preferences
- Single-screen order summary that reduced taps to confirmation
For someone who had bought before, it was noticeably faster than the mobile website.
Results
In the 60 days after launch:
- 65%+ of total orders came through the app instead of mobile web or desktop
- Month on month sales grew 18% with no increase in ad spend
- Average order value held at Rs. 820 - Indiclub's combo structure kept carts healthy even as buying got easier
- Repeat purchase rate from app users was meaningfully higher than from web visitors
-
Support queries about wrong sizes dropped as cleaner product pages reduced checkout confusion
What This Actually Proves
Indiclub did not have a product problem or a demand problem. They had a delivery problem. The demand was there, showing up in their traffic numbers every single day. What was missing was a buying experience built for the device their customers were actually using.
The app did not add complexity. It removed it:
- Customers browsed faster
- Found the right size without frustration
- Discovered combo deals instead of missing them
- Came back when Indiclub wanted them to, not just when they happened to remember
Vegacart made it possible to go from decision to live app in under 24 hours, with full Shopify sync and no engineering resources needed. For a growing DTC menswear brand with a lean team, that is exactly the kind of tool that earns its place.
